Hiptipico Wanderlust Backpack (Pictured Above)
It might not be the norm for a growing global fashion brand to be based in rural Central America—but for Hiptipico, that’s exactly the point. The company’s mission is to provide a pathway for Maya artisans to sell their creations internationally. This roomy backpack works as a gym bag—plenty of room for your kicks—and is handmade from up-cycled textiles by a married couple in Panajachel, Guatemala. In addition to supporting local entrepreneurs, 10 percent from every pack’s purchase is donated to the Maya Scholarship Fund.
