Zoila grew up in the village of San Andres Semetabaj, just up the mountainside from Panajachel, while her husband is originally from a town about 6 hours away called Todos Santos Cuchumatán. They eventually met in Panajachel when Julian moved to the tourist town to open a traditional handicraft store with his parents. Now, Zoila and Julian together continue to run the family business in Panajachel, bringing in a unique vibe and more modern twist. The combination of years of professional experience and a trained eye make for an extremely curated shop! From convertible bags, to fringe to poms, Zoila is an expert designer and puts her indigenous roots into everything she makes.
