Over three decades ago, Juana made the brave journey from a small village outside of Santa Cruz del Quiche to Panajachel to explore opportunities as a young artisan. Here she met her husband, who shares her ambitious dreams and passion for textiles, and they made a life together in Pana. Together they established their vibrant stall on Calle Santander, smartly located on the main tourist drag in Panajachel. Their locale features gorgeous traditional textiles, embroidered blankets and unique vintage finds. Now, Juana says the stand is more important than ever because it generates the funds to send their six children to school.
